The PRO25SE is designed for flexibility, whether you need to carry it around or mount it using the supplied wall hanger, ensuring it’s always ready for use. This reliable 12V power supply is perfect for code reading, circuit testing, and fault finding. It ensures that the vehicle’s data is preserved and prevents damage to sensitive electronics or the vehicle’s ECUs. Additionally, the PRO25SE offers fully automatic 8-step charging and maintenance for all lead-acid batteries, including lithium*. With automatic temperature compensation, it adapts to ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C (-4°F to +122°F). It also features automatic parallel load compensation, which guarantees that the power supply voltage and amperage remain constant and correct, even when the battery is under additional load during diagnostics.

*) Back current drain refers to the current that drains the battery if the charger is not connected to the mains. CTEK chargers have a very low back current.
**) The quality of the charging voltage and charging current is crucial. High current ripple can heat up the battery, accelerating the aging process of the positive electrode. High voltage ripple may harm other equipment connected to the battery. CTEK battery chargers produce clean voltage and current with low ripple.

Important Considerations Before Purchasing a CTEK Charger:

1. Battery lifespan under 2 years: If your car battery is less than 2 years old, the CTEK charger might be able to charge it, depending on its current voltage. However, the overall condition of the battery will determine whether it can be fully revived.

2. Battery voltage 2 volts and above: The CTEK charger operates effectively when the battery voltage is at or above 2 volts. If the voltage drops below 2 volts, and especially if it's between 0-2 volts, the Battery Management System (BMS) may lock the battery to prevent further discharge and damage. In such cases, the CTEK charger is unlikely to charge the battery due to the BMS lock. To avoid this issue, make sure to charge your battery before it reaches such a low voltage. If the battery is locked, only a professional may be able to unlock it, though success is not guaranteed. Pre-charging by a professional may be required before using the CTEK charger.

3. CTEK charger limitations: While the CTEK charger can help extend your battery’s life, it may not be able to revive a battery that can no longer accept a charge or hold a charge anymore. If the charger detects issues such as very low voltage or significant battery deterioration, it will display a red LED warning light, indicating that the battery may require professional attention or replacement, as it might be beyond recovery.
